    Stimulus Return

Individuals that receive Social Security must file a 2007 to receive rebate.

The retunn cannot be e-filed if only social security entered on return.

As a test I entered $5.00 interest income on return and bingo,,,it passes the e-file test.

Any problems with this appoach in real life,,,,it would save huge amount of paper work for IRS, with no change in the rebate amount.

Just a though,,,not sure if it's a bad one or not.

Most of these people will have some sort of other income. I've done several where they have some interest, small amount of 1099R income and SSA all under the fileing requirement and e-filed with no problem. At the present time, IRS can't accept a zero AGI and warn people on their free e-file site. Understand they are working on changing the zero AGI problem.
