Can you check the status of your 1040 if mailed. I had to file for my parents just for the reason for them to get the stimulus rebate check. I am having secong thoughts to if I checked the personal exemption box and place a 1 on line 6d. But i did fill in the 3,400 amount on line 42. Was wondering if this would effect it or if i can find out if I marked the box.

You did make a copy didn't you?

If not, you can get on the phone with the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, pour a tall glass of something to drink, read 1/2 of War and Peace and then when someone finally answers you can request a transcript be mailed or faxed to you. You will need to have one of your parent there with you to authorize the IRS rep to speak with you.
