    Form Csa 1099

    fORM CSA 1099R RECEIVED FROM OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT. RETIREMENTS WOULD NORMALLY GO ON LINE 16A PENSIONS AND ANNUITIES.
    PRIOR PREPARER SHOWS IT ON W-2 LINE. WHICH IS CORRECT? IS DOES SAY
    DISTRIBUTION CODE 3 DISABILITY? WOULD THAT MAKE IT OK TO BE ON WAGES LINE????

    Yes that is correct. When the taxpayer reaches retirement age it will go to line 16.

      OPM has been pretty good at changing the code to 7 when they reach the normal retirement age, but slip up sometimes. "Normal" age for most civil servants is 55, but can be under that age if law enforcement, fire fighters, etc as they had 20 years of service requirement.
