I was just listening to the TaxTalkToday dated 12/13/2005 about 9.45mins. into the video. The IRS agent was talking about the new revamp Form 8332 that was to be out by the end of the year. (I haven’t seen it yet). He said the good news is that it no longer has to be attached to the taxpayer return.

Has anyone heard this?

I am just listening to the archive of Tax Talk Today, Part II, and they are saying they made a mistake in Part I, and yes, you have to attach form 8332 to the tax return.

Thanks, Gabriele and Bees Knees, I haven't listened to part II yet. It didn't sound right, that you didn't have to attach the Form 8332.
