I have searched and the only special firefighter deductions in TTB appear to be the meal situation. Am I missing any other special deductions that I should consider?

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut". -

No, I am talking about retirement income on 1099R from which health insurance is deducted by the payor and sent directly to the insurance company. There is a deduction for up to $3,000 of accident, health or LTC payments for retired public safety officers (new for 2007.)Comment
