    independent contractor

Hi, I worked at a used car dealership in 2006, i received cash and check but mostly checks, and i never got any w2s so i was off the books, also i was stil in college at the time,

My question is; can i file for tax return for 2006? i understand i wont get any return but end up owing the governement penalties, fees, etc... Since i didnt get any w2, would i then be a independent contractor? and what forms would i need to file? considering i literally have none just a rough estimate of my income troughtout the 2006

thank you for all the help

    Dom

    Required To File

Dom, you had earnings and are required to file. You have some options. you can file as an independent contractor or a section 530 employee. I suggest you seek out a tax professional to help you through this.
