    Dependancy/welfare benefit question

19 years old daughter living with mother and brother 14 years old and sister 9 years old, mother receives welfare benefits for the two younger children and does not work. Daugter claims she pays more than 50% of the household expenses and more than 50% of the support for both brother and sister, so if she (or can she) claim her siblings as dependents and for EIC. and what kind of problems can occur with the mother's welfare benefits if the daughter claims her siblings as dependents???

The mother of the children could wind up losing her welfare checks if someone else claims the children as dependents.

Could possibly claim HOH w/out a dependent.
