    Led's dead

Heath Ledger is dead. So what, you might well ask? I agree. But judging from the constant "breaking news" blanket coverage all day yesterday (and again this morning), I have to assume that somehow this departed soul became a nationally recognized "famous person" while, incredibly, I've never even heard of the guy.

Maybe this'll give us a break from Britney.

I suggest that the 'breaking news' feature be renamed: 'breaking wind' - with no disrespect intended to anyone whose death, birth, divorce, marriage, remarriage, indictment for tax fraud, abduction by aliens, etc., was, is, might be, announced through said feature.
That's my position and I'm sticking to it.

I didn't see, and don't plan to see, Broke Back Mountain either. Like others, I had never heard of the guy. Now, I saw on one newscast where some female "talking head" was making a big deal about the fact that someone else was called before 911. She needs to get a life. Calling 911 the first thing is what keeps emergency crews tied up with calls that when they arrive, another family member says "Oh this happens all the time. He just needs to take pill number 2 and that clears it up."

I guess my point is that some common sense needs to be used that the tv wannabes do not have.

        LT

PS - There are a lot more important people passing away in most people's lives than some movie star.
Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".
