    Bankruptcy and a 401K account

    ???? is a 401`K account protected from the bankruptcy court? TP is over 55, has terminated from employer, single.

      401(K)'s are fully exempt in the two states that I am familiar with. I would strongly reccomend that you discuss this and any other bankruptcy planning issues with a local bankruptcy attorney.
