Earnings of Mom = $40,000 the Dad = $8,000.
Mom is H of H UNLESS they agree between themselves that Dad will take child as dependent, child tax credit and EIC in which case they BOTH must file single correct?
Other option is for Mom to file H of H, dependency deduction and child tax credit and Dad files Single no dependents.
