Yes, we do have future plans for those areas and others, but I can’t give away any details without giving our competitors a heads up on what we are going to do. We have a reputation in our industry for coming up with unique ideas that haven’t been done before. Much of the stuff from our prior publication was original ideas that other companies eventually copied. So I don’t want to give away any details of what we have in mind prior to when we are actually ready to market the products.

This will probably sound like a sales pitch, but it's true.

Right now we're focused 100% on producing the highest quality, most useful printed tax reference materials on the market. Before you know it, we'll be shipping out those hard copies.

We do have other projects to be launched at a later time, but nothing in production yet.

There is one thing you can count on. We're not going to create dozens of publications to present the same material you can fit into one or two books.

Maybe now is a good time to ask folks on this board what kinds of new tax products they'd like to see. What would make your life easier and more profitable in your tax practice?

Future products

Brad and Paul,

Compared to many of you on this board, I am a fairly new preparer. I find it very, very hard to find publications that will guide me thoroughly through the preparation of all entities, not just a 1040. Most I find, give you just a taste of what a person would need know in learning how to prepare these different entities. Nothing that would make me proficient with them, as we are with a 1040.

All this does is lead to me asking more and more questions, with no place to find the answers, to my satisfaction. Questions we need daily, but never seem to be addressed in any publication.

Personally, I would like to see you publish different materials, in addition to the new books you have coming out, that I could purchase to use on a daily basis that is VERY detailed. Something that would explain how and why I am inputting something on a particular return, with plenty of examples along the way. Maybe, incorporate an online, interactive study or contact group with these books that I could tap into, with people who are going over the same text, asking the same questions, etc. Something in addition to this wonderful new board! I don't know if this is something that is even possible for your brand new company to tackle, but it sure would be wonderful.

I have always been like the irritating child who is constantly asking the parents, "Why do you do this and why do you do that". The above might, finally, quiet the irritating child.

Thanks for the imput. We do have plans for something next year that I think will excite you. But I cannot comment on it now.
