    Sole Prop. SEP-IRA

    Hey Guys,

Can a sole Prop with no employees have a SEP-IRA? I've looked at TTB and the Pub. It talks about the rules for the employee contributions. But, it doesn't say that the employees are required to do a SEP.

    Thanks.

    Yes

Have another look at TTB 13-15 & 16, and pub 560. Rules for employer (not employee) contributions are discussed.

??? Employers, not employees, have SEP contribution requirements.

Yes, I said that wrong. What I meant was the info about eligible employees. (it was early. I'm surprised you couldn't read my mind)
