In the past IRS put out a refund schedule for e-file saying if return was accepted by a certain date the direct deposit would be a certain date and paper checks a week later. The direct deposit would always schedule on a Friday. It was easy to tell the client to possibly expect their refund deposit on a Fri. and if it wasn't there don't call the bank until the next Fri.
