    IRS Website

I went to the IRS website thinking I could look up a client's estimated tax payments for 2007. However could not determine how to do that> As I recalled it is now possible

You have to be registered for e-services

and have a 2848 or disclosure authorization on file (or file one real time on e-services). If this is the case then you click on tax professionals at the top, scroll down a little, click e-services and log in.

Couldn't live without it, especially during the "off season" (like we really have one anymore) with all the representation work I do now.

      Are you thinking of e-services?

You can check 941 deposits but I don't think you can check estimated payments for an individual. The Practicioners priorty line is the only place you can do that I'm aware of.
In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.

        Maybe next season

At a seminar this Fall the IRS spokesman said they are working on a system similar to the "Where's my refund?" feature that will display the estimated tax payments the client has made. I think this will be fantastic!
