Offer In Compromise

Has anyone out there had any success with offer in compromise? Offer was made in Dec 2005---after much correspondence and transfer of the case it went to appeals in May 2007. Contact that has been made with appeals office indicate they haven't reviewed it. Isn't there some kind of time limit that can be expected on an offer in compromise case?

No, the Appeals office will get to it when they have the time. They are probably busy, most OIC end up there, since theIRS routinely denies them.
