      Fledgling tax preparers are introduced into an nightmarish "land of not", where simple is "not", kinder gentler IRS is "not", and tax simplification is "not." Don Priebe leads the crew through snarls and pitfalls.

      Thank goodness it is only a nightmare. What a relief it is to wake up...

        It would help if we could start a list of suggestions.

        For example:

        Uniform Definition of a Qualifying Child -n, The result when reducing the different number of qualifying child definitions in the code from 27 to 25.

        Alternative minimum tax -v, a mandatory maximum tax that 20 million new people have the privilege of paying this year.

        Any more?
