A couple of weeks ago I tried file a 2848 thru e-services for a MFS client. I got the message that the client filed joint and to submit the form by mail which I did.
Today with a different client I got the same message. I know that this client had filed MFS as well as her husband because I prepared both returns and e-filed them. I called the help desk and was told to put the client's info also in the second taxpayer's space. It worked. I guess they have a glitch.
