    E-Services POA

I have always wondered...when I file a clients 2848 online, am I supposed to have a hard copy with clients original signature on file? Or is inputting the clients signature on the online form considered the "client signature".

    I always

fax a signed copy to the IRS. That way they have a physically signed copy as well as the transmitted one. Also you will need a hard copy in your files should you/client deem it necessary to "Revoke" the POA by faxing the revoke to the IRS.

They would never take the time to even look up a signed copy anyway.

One further word to OP. Be sure the box is checked that will send you correspondence.
I've heard that after filled in, that box is by default unchecked.
