    Just to get the question

that's bein' begged out of the way, sd -- are you a saleman?

If not, then no; I've never heard of the Tax Club or CPA Connect. Do you know who/what they are and have they: solicited your business/you're just curious/whatever?

      The Tax Club?

I think I must belong to it/them. Actually several chapters. I know I didn't send in any membership apps.

      How does one resign?

Did you ever solve your Flash drive problem???
If not,,,,does the drive that won't recognize one drive recognize the others???

Have a computer geek friend that may be of help if the problem still exists.

          Guess I misunderstoof

I thought the "Tax Club" was the thing the IRS holds over our heads every April 15.

              Google search

Do a Google search of "The Tax Club". I did and you will find all kinds of articles about them. Couldn't find out who owns the company or are officers of company though.

it's not that big a deal, so I'm just going to throw in the towel and stay with the one-gig drives (trying to solve those intermittent computer problems is like arguing with (pick one) Luis Mopeo/a signpost.

Yeah, the computer recognizes all my one-gig flash sticks, but won't recognize either of my four-gig sticks.

I answered everybody's questions on that thread this morning (see the old thread for my fascinating and witty remarks). Sorry to have left you hanging earlier, but I conked out and had to hit the sack without finishing up.

No I am not a salesman, just a sole practiotioner looking for assistance and help. I have had acouple of clients get wrapped into internet site purchases and the tax club gets their name and want to incorporate them, provide registered agent service and do their returns because as a corp they tell them the client is entitled to 312 additional tax deductions. I was only curious if anyone had ever ran across a similar outfit. I also had googled them and was unable to track any location or adress information down.

I surely did not want to disparage/discourage a genuine inquiry from an honest tax prepper. It's just that (and I hate to admit it) I''ve become a tad wary and cynical about "cold calls" since a no-'count client stole my SSN a few years back and turned me ever' which way but loose (see the sordid details under Golden Rocket's nearby thread, "ID numbers").

...the tax club...want to incorporate...provide registered agent service...do their returns...as a corp...client is entitled to 312 additional tax deductions.
Shoot; that's just what I've been lookin' for. My doughnut shop client (as an incredibly irresponsible, half-a**ed, lightweight biz operator, he has no peers) that I complained about here recently would fit right in with that outfit. I bet everything would work out if they'd just register as his agent and sub out his 1120 to me. Not much choice anyway since they cain't talk to him -- he makes doughnuts ever' mornin' at 4, hits the woods at 7, and the "girls" run the shop. He literally has no phones (not even in the cafe) and the only semi-guv'mint-related person who knows what swamp he's in is me. Those 312 corporate-only tax ducks are desperately needed (he only has about 3 1/2 real ones). No problems about the lack of "corporate books" either -- an IRS agent once advised me to "let the tickets stand" in place of sales/purchases journals and I've taken that as "the gospel" ever since. Too, we'd make short work of that page 4 balance sheet since I already own a good, heavy flatiron and I hired a retired lady to unwad, lay out, and press -- took two full days before Oct. 15th -- his roughly 600 Wal-Mart merchandise purchases tickets.

Anyway, that fly-by-nighter outfit sounds like just the ticket for my slacker's sole prop op (the "Care Less Cafe"). "Go Corporate!" Sounds exciting, doesn't it? If you do find out anything about this untaxed utopian undertaking, please let me know. Thanks.

                    Apologetically yours, BB

                              Dougnutter

The doughnutter could end up in an unholey mess if he gets involved with the wrong tax advice.
