I obtained a CAF Number, probably some time between 1/98 and 1/2002. Is there any way to retrieve this number or should I seek another, and in any case how do I go about it? I am an EA. I obtained the CAF number pursuant to filing for a POA for a client whose name I no longer recall and this was all in the course of my employment with a firm which has no motivation to assist me.
