If a us citizen legally married a non US citizen, they live in US (the non US citizen applied to become a US citizen), what is the filling status for the US spouse, Single, MFS, or MFJ

The citizen is no longer single. He/she can choose MFJ or MFS.

If the non-US citizen is a non-resident alien, then both taxpayers may file a joint return, provided that they sign a joint declaration electing to be taxed on their world-wide income; this election is irrevocable.
