    Question about SEP contribution deadline

T/P filed an extension for his 1040. The tax return was done in June. He decided he did not want to contribute to his SEP.

Now he is considering changing his mind. So, since he had until the Oct. due date to make the conribution, can he now file and amended to make a contribution? Or was this stopped when the return was filed in June.

I think so long as he has a valid extension he can amend and make the contirbution.

FWIW I concur with sea-tax's reply above.
