    ATXers Forum

You wanna hear from old-timers? Poof!! Here I are....haven't heard from B Bart and wish he would resurrect himself.

This is an obvious outgrowth of a thread below, which has droned beyond usefulness and deserves a subject change. I do remember the ATXers board when I had the software. It was without question the most active tax board in the industry, and lots of information flowed freely.

However, lots of EVERYTHING flowed freely. Some of you may prefer total unregulation and there is a part of all of us that appreciates that. But there was an abundance of profanity, sexual inuendos thrown at some of the members, and accusations of these being thrown at same sex persons. Some of the posts contained inaccurate information and this information had no monitor. Slurs, vulgarities, and other insults were thrown around every corner.

Possibly the character of the ATXers changed in later years. I wouldn't know because I had not visited that board in years (if that tells you anything). When I found another board on which to discuss tax matters, and no longer having to read that stuff, it came to me like a breath of fresh air.

We're kidding each other if we think we are all "purists" but given the choice between this board and that one, there has to be some appreciation to those who are monitoring TTB message board.

    Cole Porter

Yes, I used to call ATXers the "Cole Porter" board.

    As in "Anything Goes....."

It was incredible. They didn't even regulate the board when their own software users blatantly criticized ATX when ATX had support problems one year.
