    efiling after midnight

    It is 10:00pm in the east. I have been trying for 1.5 hours to efile the last 3 returns to no avail. Doe sth IRS really hold us to a midnight deadline on efile?

      You probably have the extra 2 days due to the East coast Storms! http://www.irs.gov/ check out the 4/16 relief link.

          Late filing penalty

          Late filing penalty can be abated for reasonable cause. Print out one of the error messages you have been getting, hopefully with the time and the client ID on it.
