    409 A Income

    Is it possible to claim a SEP against 409 A Income for a semi retired financial professional? The 409 A will be reported on the C subject to SE.

    Section 409A is deferred compensation under a nonqualified deferred compensation plan that is included in income. Since it is deferred earnings, it qualifies as earned income for IRA, SEP, and other qualified plan purposes.
