Wow, what a waist of time during our busy season. The worthiness of the casue is not the issue, it does not belong on a tax return. Also there is no representation from citizens who are not required to file or who pay no tax, unfair indeed.
    I'm 100% in agreement!

      Retire the national debt

It used to be in the instructions of the 1040 that you could request a refund to go against the national debt or send money.. I always wonderred how many people contributed.

        Black Bart and Snag

        Hi guys:
yes I took a little time off this summer and visited my daughter and family in Hawaii.
I do this (tax prep) as a sideline so have not been on here much lately but its time to get back into the swing of things.

Glad to see that I was missed.

The Lost Dutchman mine is in the Sonoran Desert, not the Mojave.

If it's lost, how do you know where it is?

Ken: Any tips as to how I can get some of my relatives to move to Hawaii so I can go visit them? If they lived there I'd feel more of a social obligation to go see them occasionally (even if I do usually have to co-sign a note when I visit kinfolks).

Gary: I beg your pardon. Say, I think I've already told this one here, but I'll do it again to get myself off the geographical hook. I saw a Jay Leno "Jaywalking" (man-in-the-steet type) interview a while back at an upscale university's graduation ceremony. He asked a new grad (wearing cap and robe) if she could "name the five continents of the world." She: "No, I'm not a geography major. OMG, I hope my dad's not watching this--he'll kill me." Leno: "Okay, can you name just one of them?" She: "Sure. Ours!

jainen: Thanks for the assist. Hereafter, I shall dispense with "VJ" and "doggie."

Good point. I should have said that it is thought to be somewhere in the Superstition Mountains, which are in the Sonoran Desert.
