    Final year for LLC

I have an LLC that had amortized a large amount of start-up costs. This is the third year, with no activity in 2006 due to closing the activity down early in '06. She has filed the appropriate forms for the business closure.

Any problem claiming the rest of the start-up costs even though the C shows only this expense?

    Thank you,
    Dennis

      Start-up

      Veritas,

Forgive my ignorance, but where and how do I show this on 4797?

        Part 1

In your software if you put a disposition date will it take it automatically to form 4797?

          Software

          Hi Dennis,

Since I know you use the same software that I do, go to asset manager, find the start up expenses, and then click on Disposition. At that screen enter your info with date and gross sales price of -1. Then on the right look at 4797 tab and make sure what part of the form to carry to. The system should automatically carry all of the info to form 4797.

            Thank you

            Sandy and Veritas,

Thank you! Got it. I wasn't thinking this should go there, but it's fine with me.
