    1099-b

When a 1099 B from an investment firm lists stock sold, would it o.k. to list the
brokers name instead of each stock individually.

Are all the gains & losses short term? Long Term? Any Wash Sales?
Would you have the total cost/basis?

If you have a gains and lost summary you can on Sch D give the IRS one iterm for short term and on efor long term but you must send them teh statement either with the return or with form 8453.

If you do list them entirely on a schedule D and it flows to the D-1 do you have to send in the D-1 with Form 8453 or can you file with a Form 8879?
