Were these refunds to be direct deposited or a check mailed to client? -

IRS Dates
Is it possible that since the weekly cutoff is Thursday for checks cut the following week Friday, that maybe the IRS shows both dates since the acceptance could be after cutoff time?Comment

That was my first thought, but Gabriele said she had the same acknowledgement for direct deposit. Maybe it has something to do w/ the early Daylight Savings time?Comment

This thread made me curious, so I checked some of my returns that were accepted on 2/27 and 2/28 (including my personal return.) They were all set for direct deposit and the IRS website is saying they were received, being processed and the refund should be there by March 20th. I know the IRS refund status site is not always correct, but it appears the refunds are goind to be a week late. Good thing I always tell my clients not to spend the refund before they confirm the money is actually in their account. Guess my trip to Lowes this weekend for some Spring improvements for the house will have to wait another week!Comment

New dates for refunds
I remember last year the IRS screwed up some returns and deposited the checks into a bank in HongKong. Instead of DD they mailed the checks. I think I maybe lost a client over that escapade. With the new day light time who knows what will happen to the returns and deposits.Comment
