    Garage Door

    Just need some confirmation.
Does an exterior garage door (the one your drive your car under) qualify for the Nonbusiness energy Property Credit?
I say no, just want to tell clients I asked other professionals about it.

Exterior doors have to meet or exceed the criteria set by the IECC. They have to be certified to be energy efficient. I don't think a garage door would meet these minimums.
That's all I have to say ... for now.

I have to agree, even THOUGH those two new garage doors I installed last year have
really helped keep that side of the house less cold. Even warmer.

But this year I am replacing four windows with really good IECC stuff.
