Just received this E-mail from a member of our local E A Assoc.
"Filed an offer in June, 2006 that has been sitting there and on two occasions the OFFER SPECIALIST had corresponded with me for more info & documents. Today I got a call left for me that he was rejecting it because my clients had not made the monthly payments.
This member is a retired IRS specialist."
Thought all of you may enjoy this.

have to amke a payment to even be considered.

The periodic payments to be made during the time the IRS is studying the proposal
went into effect for OIC's submitted after July 15, 2006.
I failed to state that the original offer was submitted June 10, 2006.

Good luck. I have one in process that has been a pain in the ___. I don't think I will ever do one again! Client has become a friend over the years and is insolvent, i will probably never get paid and have spent days on this and their other issues!
