    Phone number for faxing POA

The number that I was using to fax POAs to last year just rings and does not answer. Does anyone know the number for Arkansas to fax a POA to or where the quickest way to get this number would be. I have looked in TTB and can find no reference to this.

    Thanks for your help.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

      I have a different number

I have used 801-620-4249 for the last 6 years.

Could this be a regional thing?

        Poa

        LT,

I had the same trouble a couple of years ago calling that number, as well. I just started faxing all POAs to the hotline and in a matter of minutes, the POA was in use.

Also, seemed like when I first started to fax to the CAF unit, the POAs never seemed to be found, even after months. That is why I stopped and went with the hotline, 1 (866) 860-4259.

This is the same number that I have and have been trying.

DaveO and DTS, I will start trying through these numbers and see how that works.

Many thanks to all of you.

I just talked with pp hotline. They are having problems with some of the fax units today. That is the reason the faxes are not going through.

                Do you use E-Services?

If so you can do the POA online, provided that you have a prior year return for the client within the last 3 years. No faxing, no waiting!
