    Verify FEIN

    Who would I call to verify an FEIN for an S-corp?

      Dave, I've used the practitioners' hotline in the past.

      But wouldn't the corporation have anything showing it? tax deposit coupons in file?
      Last year's return?

          Thank you very much. IHe uses another firm for payroll, and I jsut spoke with the staff accountant who verified his FEIN for me.

              Also if they have a 401k plan you can use a website called Free Erisa , I think the web address is www.freeerisa.com and you can see the Form 5500 which will have the EIN
