    Mortuary Expense deductible?

I want to know mortuary expenses are deductible or not?

    Sure

    >>I want to know mortuary expenses are deductible or not?<<

Sure they are. Like any other business, a mortuary can deduct ordinary and necessary expenses.

      Funeral Expenses

On what tax form are you referring to?

No they are not deductible on the 1040 form!

You might be able to use them on the 706 form as an estate deduction.

Are you talking about the expenses that a mortuary has in running a mortuary/funeral home?

Or, are you talking about funeral expenses that an individual pays?

          About mortuary expense

Yes, I am asking about my client paid for mortuary expenses for the spouse's death. If it's deductible, where should that be? On what form?

            Not deductible on your 1040.
However, they could be deductible on the estate tax return, Form 706, if one is filed. See TTB page 21-32.
