    Confused about appliances

I'm reading about appliances having an energy credit, but on the 5695 I don't see any listed except for water heaters.

I also printed out that energy star listing and don't see any there.

Form 8909 on the IRS website is just for manufacturers - any appliance credit for individuals that you know of?

    Isn't it For

Isn't the credit for manufacturer or producer of the appliance, not the Homeowner that purchased it??

    From the IRS Site,
    Energy Efficient Appliance Credit
For tax years beginning in 2006 and 2007, qualified producers and manufacturers of certain energy efficient appliances may be able to claim a tax credit for dishwashers, clothes washers, and refrigerators that meet certain energy efficient standards and are produced or manufactured during the calendar year ending with or within the tax year. For more information, see Internal Revenue Code section 45M.
The most I can find for the individual Homeowner would be the energy credit for exterior windows and doors, most water heaters don't seem to qualify, some solar, etc. nothing on appliances.
