    CT Tax Credit

    having trouble finding out if US Savings Bond interest is taxable to CT.

    In general, the states can't tax the feds; so CT does not tax federal savings bond interest.

    As far as the car tax credit, don't know where you'll enter it in your software, but it ends up on page 4 of the CT return, Schedule 3-Property Tax Credit Worksheet where you list the town, what it is, payment dates, and amounts. Maximum $500 credit this year after dropping to $350 for a couple of years.
