    403b and Roth 401k

I work full time for the State. I will work part time for a private employer that will offer a Roth 401k. Currently I do the max each year on the State 403b. May I do the max into my new Roth 401k AND the 403b so I don't have to let my kids put me into a cheap nursing home called Shady Pines.

    The way I read it

You will be allowed to contribute to both a traditional 403(b) and Roth 401(k), up to a combined limit of $15,000 annually, $20,000 if you are over the age of 50.

Post two may be off topic

There is a new roth 401k effective January 1 if the vendor can handle it. Expect many smaller vendors to be caught unprepared. I'll be curious to check back if anybody knows for sure if you have two jobs can you fund the 403b and the new Roth 401k both to the maximum.

        403b and Roth 401k

        Aloha Parent of Holy Terror,

There is only one elective deferral limit. You can NOT do a Roth 401k when you have already done the maximum dollar deferral into the 403b at the main job.

        Sorry
