    Keeping Preparer Notes?

How are you doing preparer notes?--the notes that the preparer makes so that the reviewer and perhaps manager can later begin to figure out explanations for certain items.

We are using ProSeries but the place for preparer notes on what they call the client status sheet is miniscule compared to the extensive notes we generally enter during prep. Scrolling through a six-line-at-a-time display doesn't work well. We've mentioned this to Intuit for several years, but so far no change.

Are you using a stand-alone Word or .txt file that you keep with the software tax prep file? Suggestions? Simple ideas welcome!

    Preparer Notes

This is something that TaxSlayer Pro has built in to their program. I dont know the the system but think it is pdf files. All I know is that it works well.
TaxSlayer Pro is an excellent low cost program, one fee covers all, designed by tax preparers for tax preparers.
