Did not get my refund

Last weekend I distributed my business flyer in the neighborhood. This morning I received a call from Rachel who asked if I could help her. The first question was how much can she get for one child.I explained the child tax credit Eic and the exemption. She said that she did not work, however the friend whom she allowed to claim her kids did not give her the refund promised. She would like to know what steps can be taken so that she gets her refund.

What a shocker.

Tell her to write a letter to the IRS and the police telling the story

Make sure she signs it and acknowledges that she gave her child's deduction to a friend. About 4-6 weeks later you should read a blurb in your local paper about her and her friend being arrested for tax fraud.
