    Hellooo Anybody?

Anyone on this 1099SA? I've looked for information and called the IRS and believe it or not, the people I talked to, don't know either!

Surely, this is not something new. ANY information on this matter would be appreciated since I am at a stand still. Thank you Thank you and Thank you.

The amount shown in box 1 of the 1099SA is the amount withdrawn to pay medical
expenses with. Maybe IRS Pub. 969.
This amount should not be taxable to the employee if used for medical expense.
Of course, the client would not get a medical deduction for that amount either.
    Hope this helps some.
    Gets frustrating sometimes doesn't it.
Also look at TTB page 3-3 & 13-29.

      THANK YOU BIRD LEGS

That does help and also the Tax Book. I'm not stuck in the mud now.
