    Screenplays

Client is in the process of writing a screenplay for the sole purpose of trying to sell it to movie exec. Can this person write off the expenses for mailing to various people and all of the expenses involved in this activity? Would this go on a sch C for each year with expenses or only in the year if it is finally sold?

    Thanks

has some intro about artsy/craftsy stuff. i'm leaning toward capitalize and deduct when realized. george costanza's attorney, if he has one, may have insight. larry david's attorney will be too expensive.
