<65 Ss Recipient Self Employed

An individual (63) is self employed, filing a Schedule C, and collecting Social Security benefits. Is it the GROSS RECEIPTS OR NET PROFIT that affects the monthly benefit if he exceeds the annual maximum amount of earnings allowed for one under the full retirement age?

    Under 65 & Self Empl.

It is the net earnings. This is what the S E Tax is based on.
