    The 1099 dance

    Me " Hi Bob/Bobbie I'm working on your 1099's for year end".

    Them "what's a 1099"

    Me "You know those forms we been doing for 22 years for you".

    Them "oh yeah , I'm a corporation so you don't have to do them for me".

    Me "I know have to do them for blah, blah , blah.".

    Them " ok i'll call you back when I get the info"

    meanwhile......

    a month later

    Me " Hi Bob/Bobbie and so did you get me that 1099 info"

    Them " What's a 1099?"....................................

    Bobby, are you sure that I have to do 1099s now that I am incorporated? :-) Just kidding.

    Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

      I have just spend almost a whole day (around appointments) working on delinquent client's 1099's. It was so piecemeal and I wasted so much time that the day was very frustrating. At mid afternoon we mailed the ones that the names and numbers had been faxed in several different times during the day.

      After that the faxes of yet more W-9's and more names and addresses came in and I totally ignored them.

      That felt good, but you know they'll be upset that they didn't get out.
