    s-corp eligible for 401-k

    Is an s- corp eligible to have a 401 k??
    only one owner in this s-corp.

    Yes, but there are complex rules that require the services of a professional administrator. A SIMPLE IRA would be easier and cheaper.

      If there are no employees involved try the individual 401-k offered by T ROwe Price, FIdelity etc., which have little to no administrative fees & are fairly simple to administer.

        Wachovia- friend called and asked if I would be interested in being the independent trustee for the 401K he was setting up for a mutual client. I said no-not interested!!! Does the 401K need an "independent" administrator???????
