    Energy Credit For Home Office

My client put a new furnace which only heats teh home office part of his home. I know he can't take any kind of residential energy credit. Is there any kind of business energy credit he can claim?

    Office is 30% of home

Sorry, I forgot to say that office is 30% of home. This is why no home energy credit.

Businesses get the energy efficient commercial building property deduction. See TTB, page 8-6.

I see what you wrote. It seems to me that to meet the requirements of the EECB specifically that it is part of a plan to reduce energy use by 50%, rules out someone who puts a new furnace in his home office.
