John o' PA & other PA preparers

Thought I'd pass on info from an e-mail I received this morning from PA DOR regarding incorrect 2006 1099-G's (state tax refunds): "Dept. mailed forms with information for refunds paid in 2005 rather than 2006. Corrected 1099-G's will be mailed by 9 Feb." Doesn't this remind you of a few years back when the DOR mailed unemployment forms with an extra zero added on to the FIT w/h? Cheers!

    Thanks

Sounds familiar. I remember the unemployment thing from a couple of years ago. As I recall, some people wound up getting 3 or 4 forms that year.

      Thank You

Thank you for the heads up. I received my personal 1099-G from PA yesterday. The value I find in it is it shows what PA has on record for your 05 overpayment coming forward to 06, so if it's wrong, you know up front what their figure is.
