E-file rejection code 0151

Has anyone efiled a return w/ the energy credit form 5695?

I transmitted 9 returns yesterday but had two returns rejected with Error Code 0151: Number of Logical Records in Tax Return must equal the total logical record count computed by the IRS.

I have done both returns for several years and there is nothing unusual this year but both have the Form 5695 so I'm wondering if this is the issue.

My software (Lacerte) doesn't allow me to send form 5695 yet, they say they are still working on the calculation; form should be ready tomorrow, according to their msg.

Other forms that they are waiting on are 4136 and the 8903, I'm waiting for those forms so I can send my farmers tax return.

E-Filing

I call my software vendor, customer service and let them explain in plain english what is wrong with return. They usally fix problem on their end. I use Orrtax.

It was a proseries issue, form has been updated according to tech support is now ready to go........so I'll try again.

I got an email earlier this week from IRS advising that they aren't accepting the residential energy credit forms (EF or paper) until February 3rd.

I hope this is not the case.

I thought the claims for key “extender” provisions- deductions for state and local sales taxes, higher education tuition and fees, and educator expenses are to be delayed.

I've retransmitted so only time will tell.

Return was rejected again! Must be in the list for Feb 3rd.

I filed 2 returns with the residential energy credits and both have been accepted by the IRS. I use Drake.

Successfully e-filed and got acks on the 5695 already.
