    Actually, the most beautiful part of the country is the coast south of Carmel, California.
    Been there once not bad but nothing compared to the Great NW! Though I guess it is a matter of opinion? I just think if have been to the NW and looked around you can't possibly not agree with me. Now remember I am not talking weather here just the views and nature, the surroundings. As for weather sure CA has us beat by a land slide.

        The scenery in your neck of the woods

        is far more dramatic than around Portland. But our coast is nicer.

            Your coast is nice I love coos bay and the rest . But have you ever been to the SAN JAUN islands . Turely beautiful.
