    W2's

Here we are about 20 days into the year.
What have you noticed? Are W2's arriving:

    1. sooner than last year
    2. about the same, or
    3. later than last year?

About normal. Of course for some reason the one's I am preparing are running about a day behind. I think I'll blame it on this message board. : )

      W-2's

Here in Arizona I am running about eight returns less then last year.

Suppose to pick up by this coming weekend at least 49 more returns to be on track with last year.

Last year had total of 164 returns processed by 01/31/2006.

        Mine are

...running just a little slower than last year.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

          3. Later than last year.

But, I don't do many with W-2's only. Most of my clients are waiting for 1099INT & 1099DIV's. I know because I have not received a single one for myself.

I have done one 1065 and one 1040A. Though I only expect to about 8 more return before Jan 31. Then "MY" season starts!

            Later than last year also.

I have yet to do a tax return. I've done a few estimating what their taxes will be but that is all. I expect to have calls by the end of the week. They ususally don't come in until the last week of January. I dont' do many W-2 only returns either. Alot of them are waiting for more info to come in. I am still working on getting all these payroll returns and W-2s out to my customers to send to their employees. Have 12 left.
