    Cost of a Ticket

This will probably sound like a "dumb" question. If a person receives a traffic ticket while driving for business use is this a deductible expense. How about a delivery driver/trucker? Would your answer be any different depending on the type of ticket? An example, might be speeding vs a trucker not having a tarp on a load? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

    I got the answer

Sorry, I should have googled this question before posting. The answer is some things are never deductible, government fines and tickets are among those.

      Tickets

Fines and penalties for violations of any law are never deductible. See IRS Pub 535.
